DESIGN PROCESS

I'm sure some of u tertanya2 apakah scope of work interior designer nih. Macam bagus jer bunyi ....as you might've seen kat casa impian / eric leong's show tu...nampak mcm senang jer...Well, mcm ni sebenarnya:

FIRST , an ID kena IDENTIFY dulu apa yg diperlukan oleh client. Best if boleh pegi site visit...kalau jauh, tgk gambar dulu lah. Yg paling pelik is kadang2 client sendiri x tau apa yg dia nak...in terms of material things dia mungkin nak s'thing like their friend's house...or celebrity's office...or mak sedara dia punya sofa...konsep itu & ini....Tapi kalau tanya how would they want to feel and function in their room...they have no idea....an interior design should represent a lifestyle...if you read a lot, we'll design a reading space for you...we will make that space because that space is crucial to YOUR LIFESTYLE...

jangan malu-malu....open up to us...we'll help make your dreams come true...:-)

So , after the first interview , maybe second, we'll have a general idea of WHAT YOU NEED...

(of course ada isolated cases yg project dah nak siap baru dpt apa yg dia nak...kes malu/segan lah ni...)

BACK to the office, we start pecah kepala / brainstorming for the possibilities / potentials of your new room.

Your floor plan is then prepared, including where furniture, built-in cabinets , carpets & other accessories will be placed. All these done in computer programs / AutoCAD ..Then , we will source out materials for your new room: flooring type, walls, lights, paint, curtains etc based on color scheme and concept. The materials are referred from our suppliers / catalogues...so you let us do all the pening2 part...We'll go to the lamp shops and langut for you...we'll choose paint color for you...we'll go to tile shop & choose the tiles & other accessories...we'll go to the carpenter to make your cabinets etc..that's what u pay us for...

Usually for office projects ,a 3D illustration of the room is done to test our design whether it'll work or not. Kadang2 ada benda yg kita pilih x sesuai in terms of scale, size ,texture etc. A 3D perspetive view is an artist's impression of how the room will look like in real life ...close lah.Usually we'll do this for office projects...residences usually we'll prepare a sample board / photos.Of course there is a fee for these perspective views....
